The White Lake Spring International, Sprint and Half Pro-Am triathlons are scheduled May 6-7 with race headquarters at The Grand Regal at Goldston’s Beach. It will be the 27th year for triathlon races in Bladen County

The White Lake Half Pro-Am begins the weekend activities on Saturday, Feb. 6. Competitors will swim 1.2 miles, bike 56 miles and run 13.1 miles. The race is set to begin at 7 a.m. There will be professional and age-group categories. Click here to register.

Last year, Trevor Foley from Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, won last year’s men’s Pro Division in 3:38.37-and Ali Brauer from Mount Vernon, Virginia, won the women’s Pro Division in 4:20:11.

On Sunday, May 7, the White Lake International will begin at 7 a.m. and White Lake Sprint will begin at 8:30 a.m.

International competitors will swim 1,500 meters, bike 28 mile and run 10 kilometers. The Sprint race will include a 750 meter swim, an 18.5-mile bike ride and a 5-kilometer run. Click here to register for the May races.

Last year, Ean Ormsby from Hope Mills won the men’s Sprint race and Allison Lopiccolo from Pittsboro won the women’s Sprint race. In the International race, John Lowry from Manassas, Virginia won the men’s category and Tristan Pike from Winston-Salem won the women’s category.
