Today’s information age performs a crucial role in our lives. Likewise, the advancement of telecommunications has placed the human being at an auspicious point within the connection scope.
Besides holding a fundamental base in the global connection, telecommunications promote the quick and easy link between people and entities to communicate information and promptly solve problems.
The term telecommunications underlies the words technology and communications. Within the Greek roots, the word technology comes from tekhnologia, which stands for “systematic treatment.” On the other hand, the word communications arise from the Latin root communicatio, which means “sharing or imparting.” The conjuncture of these two concepts relapses on the term “telecommunications,” giving an approach to its primary meaning; remote data transmission via electronic and technological devices.
As mentioned above, telecommunications function as transmission, emission, or reception of computer signals. These types of signals or messages can be either written, in image, or sound format. Furthermore, different processes such as radioelectricity, optical media, or other electromagnetic systems function as a medium of interaction in which information can be transmitted. Indeed, telecommunications comprehends several technologies, such as tv, radio, and telephony. Moreover, it has full access and recognition of data communication, the Internet, online navigation, and computer networks.
Telecommunications are a basic infrastructure within the technological field. Ergo, it is a system of significant importance in the contemporary context -speaking about the Information Era- due to its capacity to access unlimited information and share it.
Among other outstanding features, telecommunications advance beyond distance. As demonstrated in the past decades, technology power surpasses physical limits. Within direct transmission of data, telecommunications are demarcated as remote; thus, we have the opportunity to immediately contact people by using our phones, despite their location.
It is worth noting the active development of telecommunications at this time. By the first half of the 19th century, the electric telegraph revealed to the world the opportunity to send messages or signals in the form of letters and numbers. Soon, we would contemplate the invention of the first telephone, which allows remote communication through voice. Following the sequence, radio waves, satellites, and communication networks emerged amidst the first computers until they reached now-active wireless connections. In addition to the internet impact, All above mentioned has guided humanity to strengthen its contact links beyond physical interaction.
The geniuses behind this operation are nominated telecommunication engineers. Professionals in charge of telecommunications management are broadly the determining enhancers of making this system, the telecommunications, practical in our lives.

La era de la información actual desempeña un papel crucial en nuestras vidas. Asimismo, el avance de las telecomunicaciones ha colocado al ser humano en un punto favorable dentro del ámbito de la conexión.
Además de tener una base fundamental en la conexión global, las telecomunicaciones promueven el vínculo rápido y fácil entre personas y entidades para comunicar información y resolver problemas de manera oportuna.
El término telecomunicaciones subyace a las palabras tecnología y comunicaciones. Dentro de las raíces griegas, la palabra tecnología proviene de tekhnologia, que significa “tratamiento sistemático”. Por otro lado, la palabra comunicaciones surge de la raíz latina comunicatio, que significa “compartir o impartir”. La coyuntura de estos dos conceptos recae sobre el término “telecomunicaciones”, dando una aproximación a su significado; Transmisión remota de datos a través de dispositivos electrónicos y tecnológicos.
Como se mencionó anteriormente, las telecomunicaciones funcionan como transmisión, emisión o recepción de señales de computadora. Estos tipos de señales o mensajes pueden estar escritos en formato de imagen o de sonido. Además, diferentes procesos como la radioelectricidad, los medios ópticos u otros sistemas electromagnéticos funcionan como un medio de interacción en el que se puede transmitir información. De hecho, las telecomunicaciones comprenden varias tecnologías, como la televisión, la radio y la telefonía. Además, tiene pleno acceso y reconocimiento de la comunicación de datos, Internet, navegación en línea y redes informáticas.

Cabe destacar el desarrollo activo de las telecomunicaciones en este momento. En la primera mitad del siglo XIX, el telégrafo eléctrico reveló al mundo la oportunidad de enviar mensajes o señales en forma de letras y números. Pronto, contemplaríamos la invención del primer teléfono, que permite la comunicación remota a través de la voz. Siguiendo la secuencia, las ondas de radio, los satélites y las redes de comunicación surgieron en medio de las primeras computadoras hasta que alcanzaron las conexiones inalámbricas ahora activas. Además del impacto de Internet, todo lo mencionado anteriormente ha guiado a la humanidad a fortalecer sus vínculos de contacto más allá de la interacción física.
Los genios detrás de esta operación son ingenieros de telecomunicaciones designados. Los profesionales a cargo de la gestión de las telecomunicaciones son, en general, los potenciadores determinantes para hacer que este sistema, las telecomunicaciones, sea práctico en nuestras vidas.
