Lake Waccamaw, NC – The Town of Lake Waccamaw is excited to announce the 2nd Annual North Carolina Alligator Festival. The festival will be held on Friday, April 26th – Saturday, April 27th at the Elizabeth Brinkley Park. Local bands will kick off the festival the evening of Friday, the 26th, starting at 6pm.
Saturday will start with two Gator Runs: a 1-mile family fun run and a competitive 5k race. A festival market will run from 10:00am until 4:00pm.
There will be alligator protection and information sessions featuring live alligators, local craftsman, food/beverage vendors, antique alley, foam party music, and more. The day will round out with an evening concert, the Pink Slips, following the market.
More than 1000 attendees flocked to last year’s festival, creating a vibrant atmosphere of community. Local vendors, artisans, musicians, and food trucks are invited to join the festivities by registering to showcase their talents and offerings.
