BLADENBORO – West Bladen’s jayvee volleyball team claimed their first victory of the season Tuesday with a 2-0 decision over Red Springs in Three Rivers Conference action by set scores of 25-11 and 25-21.
Ashlyn Cox hammered in 6 aces, 6 service points and 2 kills to lead the Lady Knight attack. Freshman Hannah Pait slammed in 6 kills and 3 service points. Caroline Brisson fired in 3 aces and 3 service points.
Taylor West knocked in 3 kills, an ace and 2 service points for the winners. Kaylee Page tallied 4 service points and a kill. Freshman Lauren Pait racked up 3 service points and an ace. Junior Erica Storms and freshman Savannah Turbeville added one kill each.
The Lady Knight jayvees are now 1-2 overall and 1-1 in conference play. West Bladen will travel to East Columbus Thursday.
