ELIZABETHTOWN – St. Pauls built leads of 17-8 and 24-9 en route to a 40-24 Three Rivers Conference jayvee boys basketball victory over East Bladen Tuesday night.
Nazire Smith threw in a pair of first quarter baskets for the Eagles, and teammates Malaki Monroe and Cameron White added a basket each, but St. Pauls led 17-8.
Smith sank a free throw in the second period, but St. Pauls padded their lead to 24-9. Monroe and Zamar Lewis tossed in 2 baskets each for East Bladen in the third quarter.
Monroe pumped in a basket and a free throw in the final quarter and topped the Eagle scoring with 9 points. Corey Robbins popped in a basket, and Jacob Nixon canned 2 free throws.
Smith finished with 5 points for East, and Lewis totaled 4 points.
The Eagles will travel to East Columbus Friday night.
