After seeing the former CresCom Bank building removed and the demolition of the former Hardee’s restaurant on South Poplar Street in Elizabethtown, many Bladen County residents are wondering what will replace them.
David Clark, with Clark Brothers, who owns the property, said on Monday that his company is in negotiations with a popular restaurant chain. However, no lease agreement has been reached yet. Due to a confidentiality agreement, they cannot yet reveal the name of the restaurant.
Clark added the location is “a great place to do business.”
Clark did say a new facility will eventually be built on the property.
The former Hardee’s restaurant building was old and the decision was made to demolish it after the lease agreement with Cape Fear Bar-B-Que and Chicken ended.
Residents will have to wait a little longer to learn what will take their place.
