bcc-to-host-beneficial-nematodes-seminar

DUBLIN – Bladen Community College will welcome UNCP professor Dr. Leonard Holmes to campus on Thurs., Nov. 17, at 11 a.m. in the library to discuss Beneficial Nematodes for Agriculture. The public is invited to attend.

Dr. Holmes is the associate professor of chemistry and director of the Biotechnology Center at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. His discussion will include the safety and advantages of using nematodes to suppress and control damage done to crops by insects, and nematodes as an environmental alternative to chemical pesticides.

The workshop is open to the public. The Student Resource Center is building 7 on the Dublin campus.
