• Glenn Helms, a native of Elizabethtown, was named Senior VP of Wachovia Bank and will head Wachovia’s six offices in the Goldsboro area.
• Veeder Root announced the appointment of James A. Clark as their its human resources manager of the Elizabethtown plant. Clark is a graduate of Elizabethtown High School and formerly a US Navy Pilot.
• Five persons were arrested on charges involving the manufacture, possession, and distribution of marijuana in Bladen County.
