It was a record-setting week for Bladen Online. Never, in the eight-year history of the online newspaper, have more people visited the site nor viewed more pages than was done for the week of Jan. 3-9. Also, there was a record for most pages viewed for a day.

When the clock struck midnight, Bladen Online had recorded 177,077 page views for the Jan. 3-9 reporting period, according to Google Analytics. That eclipsed the record of 159,367 page views set Dec. 6-12, 2015.

There were 41,535 visits for the week, breaking the record of 32,597 set Dec. 6-12, 2015.

On Thursday, Jan. 7, Bladen Online had a record 52,264 page views, which surpassed the single-day record of 40,918 set Oct. 19, 2015. On Wednesday, Jan. 6, there were 40,389 pages viewed, which is now the third-most pages viewed for a day.

The numbers show, we believe, that people rely on Bladen Online to tell the story of Bladen County, and it’s a responsibility we take seriously. We want to hear from you about your stories and your ideas.
