The Bladenboro Board of Commissioners are expected to discuss police department pay and elect a mayor pro-tem at its regular monthly meeting Monday. The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Town Hall of Ivey Street. It’s open to the public.
This will be the first full meeting of the new board since new members Gene Norton and Cris Harrelson took office in December. Other members are Jeff Atkinson, Billy Ray Benson, Sarah Jane Benson and Patsi Callihan. Rufus Duckworth begins the second half of his four-year term as mayor.
