ELIZABETHTOWN- Tommy Metz scored a pair of touchdowns Monday night to lead the Buffaloes to a 20-6 victory over the Fighting Irish on opening night of Bladen Recreation’s 10-12 tackle football league.
Metz bulled through a crowd from 9 yards out to score the game’s 1st touchdown. Quarterback Greylon Robinson ran the conversion to pad the Buffaloes lead to 7-0.
Metz banged through the line on a 2-yard run for his 2nd touchdown. Jordan Bordeaux carried for the conversion and a 14-0 lead. Robinson fired a 25-yard pass to Carlos Flores for the final Buffaloes touchdown that pushed the lead to 20-0.
Jaylen Ballard sped around the right side and raced 77 yards for the Fighting Irish touchdown.
