In a statement released Friday, Chairman Mac Campbell of Bladen We Care said “I would like to thank everyone who helped make our 27th annual tournament one of the most successful ever.

The Board of Directors, the sponsors, the players, the volunteers and the personnel at Vineyard Golf At White Lake went overboard to see to it that everything went off without a hitch. This year we had a full compliment of golfers who enjoyed many benefits. We have tried, over the years, to make sure that each player received benefits that would relate to them how much we appreciate their participation. We always try to return 30% of the entry fee back to the players in the form of merchandise certificates for the winning teams. This year our “goody bag” included about $125 worth of “goodies”. We have a breakfast and a bar-b-cue luncheon along with drinks available on the course. An added feature this year was free ice cream available for everyone compliments of Nestle.

The money raised goes to a great cause….needy healthcare recipients in Bladen County. We have no paid administrators and this past year we made around 250 grants to our folks in the county.
