First Baptist Church of Clarkton is hosting a blood drive Saturday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The church is located at 10233 N. College Street.
Registration is recommended, but walk-ins are welcome. Click here to register for a time to donate.
All donors will receive a $10 eGift card and a $10 charitable donation will be made for every blood donor.
The drive is organized by The Blood Connection, which is a non-profit organization that supplies blood to area hospitals including Cape Fear Valley, UNC Health Southeastern, Columbus Regional and Fayetteville VA Medical Center.
Blood can be donated every 56 days. Donors must be 16 years or older and over 110 pounds to donate. Sixteen-year-olds are required to have written consent to donate blood. Before you donate blood, make sure that you drink plenty of water and eat a healthy meal.
