BLADENBORO – Sophomore Landon Pederson scored 2 goals, and junior Alberto Rodriguez dished out 4 assists to lead North Brunswick to a 7-3 non-conference boys’ soccer victory over West Bladen Tuesday night.
Junior Kevyn De La Cruz Labra posted a ‘Hat Trick’ as he scored all 3 Knight goals. Junior Cade Allen and sophomore Jonah Bryan were credited with assists for West.
The Scorpions built a 4-2 halftime lead as senior Diego Dominguez Castro banged in a goal and had 1 assist.
Allen and senior Oswaldo Gonzalez-Lopez split time in goal for the Knights. Allen was credited with 8 saves, and Gonzalez-Lopez finished with 6 saves.
Junior Bryant Ortiz-Aguilar led the Knight defense with 3 steals. Allen, De La Cruz Labra, senior Walker Barkley and James Vasquez-Garcia had 2 steals each.
West Bladen, now 1-3, will travel to North Brunswick Tuesday for a rematch.
