CERRO GORDO – Freshman Kevyn Labra fired in a ‘Hat Trick’ of 3 goals, and West Bladen exploded for 6 goals in the 2nd half to defeat West Columbus 7-0 in their non-conference boys’ soccer season opener Monday night.

Junior Daniel Gustafson drilled in 2 goals for the Knights, and junior Cristian Sandoval and freshman Chris Labra scored 1 goal each for West Bladen.

Sophomore Javier De los Santos Francia and junior Josh DeLeon dished out 1 assist each for the winners.

Sophomore Oswaldo Gonzalez and freshman Cade Allen combined on a shutout in goal for West Bladen. Gonzalez was credited with 3 saves, and Allen had 2 saves.

Coach Kristen Parker’s Knights will host South Columbus Wednesday at 6 p.m.
