CLARKTON – Bladen County’s Supplemental All-Stars pounded out 16 hits and rolled to a 12-4 victory over Columbus County Sunday in the Buddy Burney AA (Coach-Pitch) Scholarship Games.
Bladen County scored 5 runs in the first inning as Greg Banks, Seyquin Leach, Caiden McNeil, Shanidra Richardson and Josh Harrington all cracked hits and scored runs.
Banks connected for his second hit in the third inning and scored another run for the winners.
Bladen County tacked on 3 more runs in the fourth inning. Janiya Smith slammed a lead-off double, and Richardson walloped a 2-run home run. Harrington hammered a double, and Daniel Susimov knocked him in with a single.
The Bladen team added 3 more runs in the fifth. Banks led off with a single, and Seyquin Leach drove him in with a single to left. McNeil laced a single to rightfield that plated Seyquin Leach, and Richardson slapped a single to right that brought home McNeil.
Richardson slugged the home run and batted 3-3 with 4 runs batted in and 2 runs scored. Banks finished 3-3 at the plate and scored 3 runs.
Harrington was also 3-3 with a double, an rbi and 2 runs scored. Seyquin Leach batted 3-3 with 3 rbi’s and 2 runs scored. McNeill finished 2-3 at the plate with 2 rbi’s and 2 runs scored.
Smith added a double and a run scored, and Susimov had an rbi single.
