minutemanAn employee of the Minuteman Food Mart and two customers at the Minuteman Food Mart in Supply went above and beyond the call of the duty on Tuesday. The employee, Fredrica, and two customers in the store assisted two victims who were unresponsive.

According to WECT, a member of their news crew was on the scene after having stopped for water after working on a story at Holden’s Beach. Bill Murray assisted Fredrica in administering CPR to the customer who passed out inside the store while Craig Moore assisted a second unconscious subject in the parking lot.

Mac Campbell said he is proud of Fredrica for her quick thinking and willingness to take action.

“I had just left there and went to Holden Beach,” said Campbell. He said he had left the store about ten minutes for the incident happened.

Campbell said the customer in the store passed out and as the clerk called 911 and started CPR, another gentleman that was in the car with the first victim also passed out. That is when Moore, who is a retired public servant from California, sprang into action.

“We are proud of our young lady and how she responded and jumped in there,” said Campbell. “We are proud to have people working for us who are like her.”
