The Clarkton community held an Erin Wakefield Day on Sunday at the Clarkton Dixie Youth Baseball Complex. Ms. Wakefield passed away Thursday.
Ms. Wakefield had been a Clarkton Dixie Youth Board member for over 15 years and “had a major impact on the lives of so many kids,” said Clarkton DYB’s Graham Burney.
Ms. Wakefield was very involved with DYB, recreation sports and the athletic teams at Clarkton School of Discovery where she had served as a coach and assistant coach for several teams.
