Clarkton’s Carey Cox, a graduate of Bladenboro High School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill,is now the Senior Director, Integrated Marketing for the Pittsburgh Pirates major league baseball team.
Ms. Cox, who grew up in Clarkton, was formerly with the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team and the Tampa Ray Buccaneers football team. Cox was Director of Marketing and Creative Services for the Rays for 9 years and 3 months. She left the Rays to become Director of Marketing and Brand Strategy for the Buccaneers and continued in that position for 6 years and 7 months. Cox joined the Pirate organization in September of this year.
