West Bladen grad Clint Allen scored the winning run in the bottom of the ninth as his Coker College Cobras walked off with a 3-2 South Atlantic Conference victory Sunday over the Anderson University Trojans.
With the score tied 2-2, catcher Dustin Russell and Anthony Scaccia reached base on errors to begin the bottom of the ninth inning. Allen entered the game as a pinch-runner for Russell and moved to third base when Michael Orlowski walked.
Allen then raced home with the game-winner when Bryson Conner ripped a single to center field. Allen, a sophomore outfielder, has appeared in 4 games for the Cobras and scored 2 runs.
