Staff report

This April, families in Bladen County are in for an exciting opportunity as the Girl Scouts gather for informative parent meetings. The meetings are designed to shed light on the myriad of opportunities awaiting girls who join the Girl Scout troop. Parents will have the chance to glean valuable insights into the activities and initiatives that their daughters will be a part of, setting the stage for an enriching journey ahead.

The Elizabethtown Presbyterian Church prepares to host one of the events that promises to inspire and empower young girls. Scheduled for April 11, 2024, from 6 pm to 7 pm, the event invites parents and their daughters to explore the vibrant world of Girl Scouts.

But the excitement doesn’t stop there. Just a few days later, on April 16, 2024, families in Downtown Bladenboro will have their own opportunity to meet the Girl Scouts at the New Light Church Connect Center. From 6 pm to 7 pm, parents are invited to attend a special meeting, while girls partake in more Girl Scout Law Flower themed activities.

More than just an introduction to the Girl Scout program, this event provides a platform for families to connect with each other and the wider community. It’s a chance to forge bonds, share experiences, and lay the foundation for lasting friendships. Together, families will embark on a journey filled with learning, growth, and the promise of endless possibilities.

For those with questions or seeking further information about the event, Chris Lancaster serves as the primary contact person. Chris can be reached at 9102312142 or via email at clancaster@nccoastalpines.org, ensuring that families have all the support they need to embark on this exciting journey.

Both events offer a glimpse into the transformative journey that Girl Scouts offers, empowering girls to become leaders in their communities and beyond. So, mark your calendars, spread the word, and get ready to embark on an unforgettable adventure with the Girl Scouts!
