WINTERVILLE – Former East Bladen star Zamar Lewis smacked 3 hits and scored 4 runs to lead his Fayetteville Technical Community College Trojans to a series win over Pitt Community College this past weekend.

Saturday Lewis belted a single, scored a run and drove in a run to lead the Trojans to a 6-0 win. Sunday the Dublin native batted 2-for-5, scored 3 runs and drove in a run in an 11-6 victory.

On April 20th Lewis slugged a 2-run home run to break open a 2-1 game in the 8th inning of a 5-1 Fayetteville Tech win over Richard Bland that set a school record for victories in a season.

Lewis hammered a double, drove in 2 runs and scored a run in a 9-8 victory over Camp Community College on April 10th. In a 17-10 victory over the William Peace JV on April 2nd, the freshman first baseman walloped 2 doubles and a triple, knocked in 4 runs and scored 2.

In 30 games this season, Lewis has scored 13 runs, collected 11 hits, slammed 4 doubles, a triple and a home run and has 16 runs batted in.

The Trojans own a 16-16 record in Region X and are 26-26 overall. Fayetteville Technical Community College will close out their regular season with a 3-game home series beginning Friday at 1 p.m. against Brunswick Community College.
