With Mayor Darryl Dowless ailing and excused absent, Mayor pro tempore David Hursey called the June 10th special meeting of the Dublin Board of Commissioners to order at 6 pm. Also present were Commissioners David Kirby and Jeff Smith, Town Clerk Ashley Matthews, and this reporter.

Mayor pro tem Hursey announced that the purpose of this called meeting was to hold a public hearing on the proposed Fiscal Year 2021-2022 budget and then vote on its adoption.

With that, he opened the public hearing and asked for any comments from the public; not surprisingly, there were none. He then closed the public hearing.

Several general questions were asked of Ms. Matthews and were answered to everyone’s satisfaction.

The Mayor pro tem then called for a motion to adopt the proposed FY 2021-2022 budget as presented. On a motion by Commissioner Smith and a second by Commissioner Kirby, the proposed budget was adopted unanimously.

There being no further business that could legally be presented, the meeting adjourned at 6:03 pm.
