East Bladen’s Lady Eagles are ranked No. 1 in the latest NCpreps.com Class 2A Girls State rankings.
Coach Patty Evers’ Lady Eagles raised their record to 7-0 Tuesday night with a 52-39 victory at Wilmington Ashley. East Bladen has now defeated three Class 4A opponents this season – Ashley, Jack Britt and Hoke County.
Four County rival Clinton, also 7-0, was ranked No. 6 in the same poll. The Lady Dark Horses will visit East Bladen next Thursday night.
In the Class 2-A Boys State poll, the Four County Conference is represented by Midway (4-0) at No. 7 and Clinton (3-2) at No. 8. Heide Trask (2-1) received honorable mention in the Class 1A rankings.
