Fair Districts NC is a nonpartisan partnership of the League of Women Voters of NC, the NC Council on Churches, and the Libertarian Party of NC. It is a statewide campaign working to educate North Carolinians about redistricting, the dangers of gerrymandering to our democracy, and how we can improve how our state draws political districts. The aim of Fair Districts NC is to achieve redistricting reform in time for the 2021 redrawing of the districts following the census in 2020.
Our program shows a film “Democracy for Sale” and a presentation by League Members as well as remarks from community leaders. Our campaign is strictly nonpartisan and our event open to the public.
The event will be held June 13th @6:30 – 7:45 PM at the Bladen County Public Library, 111 N Cypress Street, Elizabethtown, NC
