West Bladen’s Abigail Madden, Rylee Chadwick and Mackenzie Singletary and East Bladen’s Kayleigh Raynor and Laura Davisson have all been named to the All-Three Rivers Conference softball team.

Both Bladen teams finished in a 3-way tie for 2nd place in the TRC with Whiteville, and both East Bladen and West Bladen made the playoffs.

Abigail Madden

Madden, a senior, batted a sizzling .655 to spark the Lady Knight offense and was successful on all 17 of her stolen base attempts. The Belmont Abbey signee belted 36 hits, scored 29 runs and had 12 runs batted in. She slammed 5 doubles and a triple and had a .689 on-base percentage and a .781 slugging percentage.

Rylee Chadwick

Chadwick, a sophomore, starred at the plate and in the pitching circle owning a .490 batting average with 24 hits, 23 runs scored and 18 RBIs. She walloped 9 doubles, a triple and 2 home runs with a .559 on-base percentage and an .877 slugging percentage.

In the circle Chadwick struck out 84 batters in 66 innings and posted an 8-4 record with 2 saves, 3 complete games and a 3.39 earned run average.

Mackenzie Singletary

Singletary batted .362 with 17 hits, 8 RBIs, a double, and a triple. The sophomore catcher finished the season with a .412 on-base percentage and a .425 slugging percentage.

Raynor ignited the East Bladen offense from her leadoff spot in the batting order with a .357 batting average, 20 hits, 17 runs scored and 8 RBIs. She hammered 8 doubles and 2 triples to finish with a .410 on-base percentage and a .571 slugging percentage.

Kayleigh Raynor

In the circle Raynor anchored the Lady Eagle pitching staff with 63 strikeouts in 49 innings. The hard-throwing righthander had 6 complete games, 3 wins, and a save and finished with a 2.92 earned run average.

Davisson batted .418 with 23 hits, 18 runs scored, and 22 RBIs. The sophomore pitcher-infielder smashed 5 doubles, a triple and a home run. In the circle Davisson compiled a 3-1 record with 3 complete games.

Laura Davisson

Receiving Honorable Mention from East Bladen were: sophomore Karli Priest (.442 batting average, 23 hits, 18 runs scored, 14 RBIs, 2 doubles, a triple, .482 on-base percentage, .519 slugging percentage, 5 stolen bases); sophomore Emma Turbeville (.321 batting average, 17 hits, 15 runs scored, 8 RBIs, a double, a home run, .357 on-base percentage, .396 slugging percentage, 4 stolen bases); senior Alyssa Futrell (.260 batting average, 13 hits, 9 runs scored, 14 RBIs, double, .339 on-base percentage).

Players receiving Honorable Mention from West Bladen included: junior Jessalynn Vendrick (.413 batting average, 19 hits, 17 runs scored, 20 RBIs, 3 doubles, 3 home runs, .473 on-base percentage, .673 slugging percentage); sophomore Kylie Durden (.425 batting average, 17 hits, 13 runs scored, 11 RBIs, 4 doubles, 2 triples, .521 on-base percentage, .625 slugging percentage).

Also receiving Honorable Mention for the Lady Knights were: sophomore Madison Taylor (.311 batting average, 14 hits, 10 runs scored, 14 RBIs, a double, .367 on-base percentage); sophomore Hailey Guyton (defensive standout at second base, .375 on-base percentage, .931 fielding percentage).
