BLADENBORO – Havelock rushed for 471 yards and built a 35-0 1st period lead enroute to a 66-20 non-conference football victory over West Bladen Thursday night.

Junior Jonathan Williams rushed for 146 yards and scored on runs of 59 and 16 yards to lead the Ram attack. Junior Lebron Sharpe finished with 75 yards rushing and scored on 7 and 6 yard touchdown runs. He also carried for a 2-point conversion.

Junior Jalen Morgan gained 67 yards and scored on 7, 50 and 10-yard touchdown runs, and senior Blake Hyman added 2 touchdowns on 3 and 10-yard runs. Donovan Darden ran 8 yards for another Ram touchdown.

Knight junior Hezekiah Adams raced 85 yards for a touchdown on a kick-off return in the 2nd period. Adams scored again early in the 2nd half on a 6-yard TD run.

Adams tossed a 10-yard touchdown pass to junior Elijah McCollum with 2 minutes left in the 3rd quarter then threw a 2-point conversion pass to senior Travis Baxley to trim the Ram lead to 54-20.

Adams completed 5 of 6 passes for 93 yards and 1 touchdown. He also had 3 returns for 113 yards and a touchdown and finished with 212 all-purpose yards and 3 touchdowns.

McCollum caught 5 passes for 33 yards and a touchdown. Baxley snagged a 45-yard pass and had the conversion reception, and junior Noah Hall hauled in a 22-yard pass.

Junior Tyleak Ballard led the Knight defense with 7 tackles. Senior Stefane Jessup made 6 tackles, and Adams was credited with 5 tackles.

West Bladen, now 2-3, will host Clinton Friday night (September 29).
