CERRO GORDO – West Bladen’s defense held West Columbus to a pair of field goals Tuesday night as the Lady Knights rolled to a 29-4 Three Rivers Conference girls basketball victory.

 

Sophomore Rylee Chadwick tossed in a pair of baskets in the opening period, and sophomore Lainey Autry and junior Hannah Pait threw in field goals as the Lady Knights built an 8-2 lead.

 

Chadwick and freshmen Brooke Singletary and Mallory Bryan pumped in a basket each in the 2nd quarter to stretch the West Bladen lead to 14-2.

 

Hannah Pait battled inside for a basket and a free throw in the 3rd period. Singletary sank 2 free throws, and freshman Megan Pait and sophomore Makayla Wright bombed in 3-point shots as the Lady Knight lead grew to 25-2.

 

Chadwick popped in 2 more baskets in the final quarter and led the Lady Knights with 10 points. Hannah Pait finished with 5 points, and Singletary totaled 4 points.

 

Coach Brian McCleney’s Lady Knights improved to 3-2 in league play and 5-3 overall. West Bladen will host St. Pauls Friday.
