 DUBLIN – Senior Logan Autry made 6 of 6 foul shots in overtime Friday night to lift West Bladen to a 54-47 non-conference girls basketball victory over West Columbus.
 
Autry connected on 11 of 16 free throws in the game and led all scorers with 19 points. Senior Laikyn Pait fired in a key basket in the overtime and finished with 9 points for West Bladen. Junior Patience Parker sank both of her foul shots in overtime for the winners.
 
Sophmore Erica McKoy threw in 2 baskets and a free throw to keep the Lady Knights within 12-9 in the first quarter McKoy totaled 8 points in the game.
 
Senior Akira Grimes tossed in baskets in the first and second period for West Bladen. Autry pumped in 3 baskets in the second quarter, and Pait added another basket, but West Columbus still led 27-19 at halftime.
 
Grimes nailed a pair of 2-point shots in the third quarter, and Autry netted a basket and 2 free throws. McKoy and Pait dropped in a basket each, and McKoy and senior Jerena Purdie hit free throws as West Bladen pulled to within 34-33 at the quarter break.
 
Grimes racked up 2 more baskets in the final period and totaled 12 points in the game. Pait and Parker scored one basket each in the quarter, and Autry canned 3 of 4 free throws as the Lady Knights tied the game 44-44 at the end of regulation.
 
Coach Rick Rhoda’s Lady Knights evened their record at 4-4 and will play East Columbus Monday at 5 p.m. in the East Bladen Holiday Classic.
