ELIZABETHTOWN – East Bladen celebrated Senior Night and won their 5th straight girls’ tennis match 7-0 Wednesday over St. Pauls. The Lady Bulldogs only had 5 players and defaulted the No.6 singles and No. 3 doubles matches

Lady Eagles seniors Lily Lin, Alyssa Futrell, Carlie West and Hannah Wheeless were recognized in Senior Day ceremonies.

#1 Lily Lin (EB) defeated Zuri Cantor (SP) 6-0, 6-0

#2 Alyssa Futrell (EB) def. Camille Kinard (SP) 6-1, 6-0

#3 Carlie West (EB) def. Zeydi Regino Diaz (SP) 6-0, 6-4

#4 Heather Hardin (EB) def. Sonia Molina Lucas (SP) 6-0, 6-0

#5 Jayden Willington (EB) def. Katie De Dios Perez (SP) 6-0, 6-0

#6 Hannah Wheeless (EB) won by default 1-0

Doubles

#1 L. Lin/A. Futrell (EB) def. Z. Cantor/Z. Diaz (SP) 8-0

#2 C. West/H. Hardin (EB) def. C. Kinard/S. Lucas (SP) 8-0

#3 H. Wheeless/Jessica Johnson (EB) won by default 1-0

Other members of the Lady Eagles tennis team include: McKenzie Williams, Rylee Brice, Ashlyn Williams and Reese Hester.

Coach Megan Kirby’s Lady Eagles raised their record to 5-1 and will travel to East Columbus Friday, May 28th.
