June is Adopt a Pet Month at Bladen County Animal Shelter

Adopt-a-Pet-JuneShelter Manager, Karen Suggs, and her staff go above and beyond to find great homes for our local animals at Bladen County Animal Shelter. In May they set up a tent in front of the Tractor Supply store to try and find homes for some of the shelter animals. Now for the whole month of June the adoption fees are waived at the shelter.

June is Pet Adopt-a-thon Month and Bladen County Animal Shelter is celebrating the month by waiving the adoption fees on all animals. Vaccination fees will still be required. Suggs says, “We hope that waiving the adoption fee will encourage more people to come out and adopt a shelter animal.”
Vaccination fees for dogs are $25 and $15 for cat vaccinations. The shelter will be open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 1 pm until 5:30 pm for adoptions. Suggs reminds everyone, “These animals deserve a new loving home. So come out and find your new furry friend.”  For details contact the shelter at 910-862-6918.
