Clinton outscored East Bladen 15-11 in the final period to claim a 51-46 Four County Conference jayvee boys basketball victory Thursday night.
Sadique Ingram and Darrell Banks drained 3-point baskets in the first quarter to keep the Eagles within 13-12 at the quarter break. Ingram bombed in two more 3-pointers in the second period, and Braydon McDowell drilled in another 3-ball. However the Dark Horses stretched their lead to 28-t5 at halftime.
Ingram nailed another 3-point shot in the third period, and Messiah Leach added a basket and a free throw as the Eagles trimmed the margin to 36-35 at the quarter break.
Banks buried a trio of 3-point shots in the final period, but Clinton’s defense held on for the win.
Banks and Ingram connected on four 3-point shots each and shared scoring honors with 14 points each for East Bladen. Leach followed with 5 points, and Curtis McCormick and Xavier Wooten added 4 points each.
East Bladen will travel to East Columbus tonight for a 5 p.m. game.
