BLADENBORO – Lumberton snapped a 1-1 tie with a pair of 2nd half goals and defeated West Bladen 3-1 Thursday in non-conference jayvee boys’ soccer action.
Sophomore Kevin Rojas-Rojas knocked in the Knight goal and finished with 3 shots. Teammate Michael Reyes Maldonado took 2 shots in the game.
Sophomore Dylan Hernandez made 12 saves in goal for the Knights. John Randy Reyes-Garcia sparked the Knight defense with 11 steals. Freshman Uriel Ramirez-Sanchez finished with 8 steals.
Sophomore Jennsen Santana Martinez followed with 6 steals for West, and Cristian Rodriguez Gonzalez had 5 steals.
The Knights, now 2-6-1, will host St. Pauls Monday.
