LELAND – North Brunswick tacked on a pair of 2nd half goals to open up a 1-0 halftime lead and post a 3-0 victory over West Bladen Monday in non-conference jayvee boys’ soccer action.
Freshman Diego Santos-Hernandez fired 3 shots on goal for the Knights, and teammate Shandell Gonzalez had 1 shot on goal.
Freshman Noah German was credited with 4 saves in goal for West. Sophomore James Vasquez-Garcia sparked the Knight defense with 7 steals. Sophomore Michael Reyes Maldonado finished with 5 steals.
John Randy Reyes-Garcia added 4 steals, and Shandell Gonzalez, sophomore Miles Bullard, and sophomore Jennsen Santana-Martinez followed with 3 steals each.
The Knight jayvees, now 1-2, will travel to Lumberton Wednesday for a 5 p.m. game.
