ELIZABETHTOWN – Clinton scored 17 second-half points en route to a 24-6 jayvee football victory over East Bladen Thursday night in the non-conference season-opener for the Eagles.

Lawson Hester galloped 27 yards for an Eagle touchdown on the first East Bladen drive of the game, but Clinton battled back to take a 7-6 halftime lead. The Dark Horses widened the gap to 14-6 in the third quarter and tacked on ten more points in the fourth period.

The Eagle jayvees will host Whiteville on September 7th in their Three Rivers Conference opener.
