TABOR CITY – Torrean Cogdell scored 2 touchdowns Thursday night to lead East Bladen to a 20-16 victory over South Columbus in their Waccamaw Conference jayvee football opener.
Cogdell broke loose on a 70-yard touchdown dash then caught a 50-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Zach Sholar. Jay McRae scooted 10 yards for the other Eagle touchdown, and Julio Murrillo banged into the end zone on a 2-point conversion run.
“We made two big defensive stops at the end to seal the game,” said Eagle Coach Cory Corbett.
The Eagles evened their overall record at 2-2.
