ST. PAULS – Sophmore Eric Chancy ran for two touchdowns to lead East Bladen’s jayvees to a 38-6 football victory Thursday night in a game that was postponed from two weeks earlier due to Hurricane Hermine.
Chancy broke loose for a 60-yard touchdown dash and darted 10 yards for another touchdown. The sophmore running back also ran for a 2-point conversion as the Eagles built a 30-6 halftime lead.
Sophmore Josh McKoy galloped 50 yards for a touchdown and also carried into the end zone for a 2-point conversion. Freshman Tayshaun Berkely bolted 5 yards for the other Eagle first half touchdown.
Freshman quarterback Jordan Robinson kept the ball and scooted 75 yards for the only Eagle touchdown in the second half. A continuous running clock was used to shorten the game in the second half due to the big East Bladen lead.
Freshmen Lawson Hester and Majuan McKoy scored on 2-point conversion runs for the Eagles.
St. Pauls lone touchdown came on a kick-off return.
Coach Ritchie Priest’s Eagles improved to 3-0 with the victory and will travel to Spivey’s Corner next Thursday to open Four County Conference play against Midway.
