BOILING SPRING LAKES- South Brunswick outlasted West Bladen 43-40 in a back and forth non-conference junior varsity opener for the Knights.
Freshman Hezekiah Adams scored 4 touchdowns for West Bladen. Adams returned a punt for a touchdown and intercepted a Cougar pass and returned it for a touchdown.
Malijah McKoy scored 2 touchdowns for the Knights and also ran a 2-point conversion. Jamar Richardson also scored a 2-point conversion. Noah Hall broke loose on a 75-yard run for West Bladen.
“We played extremely hard and fought until the end,” said Knight Coach Scott Bowen. “I am extremely proud of our guys.”
The West Bladen jayvees will host East Columbus next Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
