East Bladen’s jayvee girls raced to leads of 11-2 and 29-4 en route to their first  Four County Conference victory of the year 59-10 over visiting Pender Monday night.

The Lady Eagles’ defensive pressure led to a number of Pender turnovers that resulted in easy baskets.

Anna Kate White fired in 14 points to lead the Lady Eagle attack. Teammate Deija Edwards tossed in 8 points, and Miasha Smith followed with 7 points.

Lauren Long, Kaley Smith and Alexis Lewis added 6 points each. Eleven of the thirteen Lady Eagles who played in the game scored.

Coach Megan Kirby’s Lady Eagles return to action Friday at Wallace-Rose Hill. Gametime is 4 p.m.
