CERRO GORDO – Freshman Jordan Kinlaw pitched a one-hitter and struck out 7 batters to lead East Bladen to a 20-0 Three Rivers Conference jayvee softball victory over West Columbus Tuesday.

Sophomore Lorna Mendell batted 3-3, drove in 4 runs and scored four. Kinlaw walloped a bases-loaded triple in the first inning and scored twice. Lexie Guy, Adrienne Howell, Lila McDuffie and Alyann Gregg connected for one hit each for the winners.

Lexie Guy, Carlie West, and Nesiah Davis-McKoy scored 3 runs each. Howell scored 2 runs, and McDuffie, Grey Guy and Gregg scored one run each.

East Bladen capitalized on 17 walks in the game. The Lady Eagles scored 12 runs in the first inning and scored 8 more in the second inning.

“The girls are playing very well,” said East Bladen Coach Chase Lancaster. “I am so happy with the progress they have made.”
