LAKE WACCAMAW – East Columbus defeated West Bladen 2-0 Thursday in Three Rivers Conference jayvee volleyball action by set scores of 25-14 and 25-20.
“The girls played very hard in the second set with much improvement,” said West Bladen Coach Gaye Davis.
Ashlyn Cox slammed in 3 kills, 2 aces and 2 service points to lead the Lady Knight attack. Freshman Hannah Pait hammered in 5 kills and a service point. Kaylee Page fired in 4 service points.
Sophmore Alyssa Suggs drilled in 2 aces for West Bladen, and Caroline Brisson racked up 2 service points and an ace. Junior Erica Storms, Taylor West and freshman Lauren Pait knocked in one kill each.
West Bladen will host South Robeson Tuesday at 4:30.
