DUNN – Midway’s jayvee volleyball team defeated West Bladen 2-0 Tuesday night to complete an unbeaten season in Southeastern Athletic Conference play by set scores of 25-15 and 25-16.
Keirra Lewis led the West Bladen attack with five service points, a kill and a block. Emme Bryant delivered two service points and two digs. Freshman Natalee Sykes drilled in an ace, another service point, a kill and had an assist.
Tah’lea Bethea pounded in a kill and a block for the Lady Knights. Sophomore Marlie Walters drilled in an ace and a kill, and freshman Kali Allen knocked in a kill and a service point. Helaina Conklin and freshman Jaylyn Clark hammered in one kill each, and freshman Brenna Hester had a dig.
Coach Kaitlyn Sykes’ Lady Knights tied East Bladen for 2nd place in the jayvee standings. Both teams sport 9-3 records. West Bladen finished 12-7 overall.
