BLADENBORO – West Bladen’s jayvees dropped the opening set 25-19 to Red Springs Wednesday but then roared back to win the next 2 sets 25-11 and 15-6 and claim a 2-1 Southeastern Athletic Conference volleyball victory.
Sam Woodell led the Lady Knight rally firing in 11 service points, 9 aces and had 1 dig. Marlene Crabtree hammered in 8 kills, 3 aces and 2 service points. Kaitlyn Brisson slammed in 2 kills, 2 aces and 4 service points.
Marlie Walters drilled in 5 service points and 2 aces for West Bladen. Shanyla Hunter knocked in an ace, a service point and had 2 digs. Kylie Durden tallied 1 service point, and Harmony Jacobs and Alina Chavis pounded in 1 kill each.
Coach Kaitlyn Sykes’ Lady Knights remained unbeaten in conference play with a 3-0 record and are 5-1 overall. West Bladen will travel to Midway on September 16th.
