A local sport’s hero is giving back again this holiday season. NFL Tennessee Titan Larrell Murchison will be giving out bicycles and toys in his hometown community.
The Larrell Murchison Christmas Toy Drive will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2021. The toy drive will begin at 10 am and end once all supplies have been distributed.
Murchison and his mother, Glenda, have over 65 bicycles to give away to Bladen County kids. This is the second year the Murchisons have held a toy drive in Bladen County. Last year they distributed winter coats and toys to single-parent homes.
When asked about the event, he said, “I’m excited about it and glad I can give back to children in Bladen County. I hope I can spread some Christmas spirit around.”
The event will be held at the BladenOnline office during the Happiness is Handmade Arts and Crafts Show. Santa Clause will be on-site for photos with children, and the Barefoot Brew wagon will be whipping up some favorite drinks for those who stop by. The first 50 drinks are free.
The BladenOnline office is located at 1110 S. Poplar Street in Elizabethtown.
