Ahhh, Labor Day, what a nice time to take a break. I hope your year hasn’t been too tough so far because we all need to rest from our labors occasionally; we even made a special holiday for it.
If you go out and about this time around you might want to check out the new and improved Highway 41 Grill. I went in there the other day and tried out the Philly-cheese-steak sandwich. It was so good I’ll be going back for that again.
I have another reason to appreciate the fine folks over at the Bladen County Health Department too. They visit all of our local eateries, restaurants, cafeterias, kitchens and diners, and report the sanitation conditions they find upon inspection. It’s important to keep things properly clean every day of the year, for the public health; but especially now, it’s comforting to see that our favorite places are scoring well.
