Spread the love

It feels like 2022 just got started and here we are in February already. I’ve heard it said that as we grow from children to adults, the days get longer and the years get shorter. I guess I must be aging because it seems to me that January flew by in a flash. Better get myself ready for Valentine’s Day, cause it’ll be here in a minute.

As I sat down to write this, looking at the list for January, I realized there were a few eateries I haven’t tried yet. I’ll put them on my “adventure list” and tick them off before 2022 escapes from my view. I’d like to offer a grateful shout-out to the fine folks at the Bladen County Health Department, for their tireless work in keeping our food supply safe. As you know, they inspect our local restaurants, kitchens, cafeterias, grills, and grocery stores for sanitation and healthful conditions, to protect us, the hungry consumers.

Check out the list below to see if your favorite spot was inspected in January, or just check to see if there is something new you’d like to try. After all, my favorite foods are the ones cooked by someone else. I jest about that but there is truth in jest. If you feel that rumbly-in-your-tumbly, why not visit one of the fabulous food vendors in our community, and as always, Bon Appetite!
