Spread the love

By Cara Beth Lewis

On October 9th, Lu Mil Vineyard in Dublin will host their 15th Annual NC Grape Festival after canceling the event last October due to the pandemic. The event coordinators and staff of Lu Mil are excited, and so are locals, according to Kayla Bridgers Dove, the event coordinator. She stated, “Our pages are blowing up on Facebook, North Carolina Grape Festival, and Lu Mil Vineyard. We are so excited!”

Coordinators of the Festival are hoping for bigger and better this year, to make up for last year. As always, there will be lots of food vendors, craft vendors, yard sale vendors, business vendors, and much more. The gift shop will be open with muscadine cider slushies & FREE wine tastings. The Grape Stomp, for children and adults, will return this year with cash prizes. Dove added, “This always attracts a lot of people!” In addition, the Dublin Fire Department will stop by Lu Mil for a visit with the kids.

New this year is a Cornhole Tournament. Registration for the tournament will occur on the day of the festival. Live music entertainment will be provided by local band, “The Generations,” a four-member, blast-from-the-past, time-traveling band, providing an eclectic mix of songs in which you know and love to sing along.

More details are still being planned and discussed, and vendors are still being accepted. Vendor applications can be filled out at www.lumilvineyard.com.
