SHELBY – East Bladen grad Maya McDonald, the 2023 Region X Women’s Soccer Player of the Year, posted a double-double of 12 points and 13 rebounds Sunday in her college basketball debut for Cape Fear Community College.
McDonald’s unbeaten Sea Devils rolled to an 86-58 victory over Cleveland Community College to raise their record to 10-0. McDonald was also credited with 3 steals.
Cape Fear Community College will host Guilford Technical Community College Wednesday at 6 p.m.
