TAR HEEL – Bladenboro finished off a 15-6 victory over Tar Heel Tuesday in a Bladen Five Middle School Conference baseball game that was suspended in the fifth inning on April 11.

Bryley Williams walked, and Alex Strange smacked a single and both came around to score runs in the Bulldog second inning.

Brycen Blackmon walked, and ShyRon Adams belted a single in the third inning and both scored runs.

Alex Brisson and Jadicus Register drew walks to start the Tar Heel third inning. Kendall Johnson-Pone reached base on an error that scored Brisson and Register. Antonio Candeleria was hit by a pitch, and Lane Meshaw knocked in Pone and Candeleria with a single.

In the fourth inning, Cameron Flowers reached base on a fielder’s choice, and Elijah Crabtree and Blackman both drew walks. Kaiden Stanley was hit by a pitch, and Devon Strange cracked a single. All five of them scored in the inning.

Josh Russ was hit by a pitch to begin the Bulldog fifth inning. Blackman and Adams followed with singles. Stanley walked, Devon Strange was hit by a pitch. Williams reached base on an error. All six of them scored in the fifth inning.

Pone led off the fifth inning with a single, and Candeleria walked before the game was halted on April 11. When play resumed Tuesday Khalil Lloyd reached base on an error as Pone and Candeleria scored the final Tar Heel runs.

Blackmon pitched the first four innings for Bladenboro and was relieved by Josh Russ in the fifth inning.

Blackman scored 3 runs each for Bladenboro, and Adams, Stanley, Devon Strange and Williams scored 2 runs each. Crabtree, Russ, Floweres and Alex Strange scored one run each.

Adams and Alex Strange both batted 2-4 to lead the Bulldog hitters. Blackmon and Devon Strange added one hit each.

Pone and Candeleria scored 2 runs each, and Brisson and Register scored one run each for the Panthers. Pone and Meshaw connected for one hit each for Tar Heel.
