CERRO GORDO – Cole Brisson and Aidan Thompson combined on a 3-inning 1-hitter and struck out 8 batters and Bladenboro exploded for 19 runs in the 2nd inning to defeat West Columbus 24-0 Tuesday.

Coach Tim Benton’s Bulldogs remained unbeaten at 2-0 in Division ‘AA’ and 7-0 overall and will visit Elizabethtown Wednesday. West Columbus dropped to 2-2 in Division ‘AA’ and 5-2 overall.

Cole Brisson pitched 2 innings and allowed a double to L. Butner while striking out 5. Thompson struck out all 3 batters that he faced in the 3rd inning.

Sawyer King drew a 1-out walk in the Bulldog 1st inning, and Corben Chadwick reached base on an error. Cole Brisson swatted a single to right field, and Sawyer King and Chadwick scored for a 2-0 lead.

The Bulldogs sent 25 batters to the plate in the 2nd inning. Gauge King smacked 2 singles and scored 2 runs. Andrew Wren walked twice, cracked a single and scored 3 runs. Brooks Carroll pounded a double, walked and scored twice. Gaston Russ reached on an error, drilled a double, walked and scored twice. Sawyer King walked twice, yanked a single to left and scored twice.

Chadwick smashed a pair of singles and scored a run. Dalton Ammons laced a single to left and scored a run. Luke Bryant reached base on an error, walked and scored twice. Cole Brisson walloped a double, walked and scored twice. Devan Stanley walked and scored a run. Will Allen reached base on an error and scored a run.

Rylan Bordeaux, Allen and Gavin Brisson rapped singles in the Bulldog 3rd inning. Jeremiah Bryan and Gavin Brisson were both hit by pitches. Cole Brisson, Allen and Bryan all scored in the inning.
